Feature-length U.S/Australian comedy Wizards!, starring renowned US comedian Pete Davidson, will film in tropical Queensland, secured into the state by the Queensland Government through Screen Queensland’s Production Attraction Strategy.
The screenplay, written by David Michôd and co-starring British actress Naomi Scott will inject an estimated $14.7million into the state’s economy.
Wizards! will follow two hapless pothead beach-bar operators, played by Davidson and Franz Rogowski, who run into trouble when they stumble across stolen loot that they really should have just left alone, reports Deadline.
Brad Pitt’s production company, Plan B, and Sydney-based See-Saw Films are behind the feature.
