This is a story about a team of creatives from Sydney’s Northern Beaches who have taken an unconventional approach to raising awareness during Plastic Free July, using a series of artworks to encourage Australians to reduce their plastic waste.
“Our goal is to raise awareness by creating imagery that is made to stand out. We need all the support we can get to share this message. So far, the community response and acceptance has been incredible and we’re hopeful that this translates to permanent change,”
The exhibition presents the problem through a unique lens, and challenges locals to join the global movement by highlighting the negative impact single-use plastic has on our oceans and marine life.
‘The Hidden Sea’ promise to create change by removing 10kg of waste per attendee of this exhibition, plus you get to sample their wine. This is the story!
