BREAKING: $1million crowdfunded for friendlyjordies legal defence against NSW Deputy Premier.

The Sydney law-firm Xenophon Davis has confirmed $1,060,300 has been deposited into their trust account to support Friendlyjordies’ ongoing legal battle against the Deputy Premier John Barilaro.
The funds will cover the legal costs of defending the defamation action launched by Mr Barilaro against Friendlyjordies founder Jordan Shanks and defending the interests of his producer Kristo Langker and his family following his controversial arrest by the NSW Fixated Persons Unit
Shanks: “A huge thank you to everyone that has supported us over the past month. We will never forget this generosity. We have received more than 24,000 individual donations – that’s more people than who first voted John Barilaro into Parliament. We know the public is on our side…”
Langker said “I am facing the overwhelming forces of the Police and the Deputy Premier of this State and now I have the means to fight back. I cannot imagine how horrifying it is for others who’ve also endured politically motivated intimidation but don’t have the means to resist”
Mark Davis said Xenophon Davis will be donating 25 per cent of the fees received from defending Mr Langker to the legal defence of former Australian military lawyer and whistleblower Major David McBride.
Davis said “We are highly conscious that the public has entrusted us with their hard-earned money. The average donation is less than $100. Every lawyer working on this has undertaken to do so at reduced rates or donating part of their fees as we are. Every dollar will be guarded”
